Sign of the Zodiac for chinese

Chinese folk culture zodiac, also known as, the Chinese zodiac has a lot of versions, ancient and modern scholars have different opinions.
The twelve animals that belong to the calendar are rat, pig, dog, rooster, monkey, sheep, horse, snake, dragon, rabbit, tiger and the bull. You can see them all here in this collection of icons I made for you guys.

中国民俗文化十二生肖,也称属相，关于十二生肖的起源有很多个版本，古今学者对此众说纷纭。结合民间俏皮的故事阐述十二生肖的排列方式：
轩辕黄帝要选十二动物担任宫廷卫士，猫托老鼠报名，结果老鼠忘了，从此猫见老鼠就寻仇。原本推牛为首，老鼠偷偷爬上牛背占先机。虎和龙不服气，被封为山神和海神，排在牛的后面。兔子不服，要和龙赛跑，兔子跑到龙前面。狗不乐意，一气之下咬伤兔子，被罚倒数第一。蛇、马、羊、猴、鸡之间还经过一番较量，最后猪跑来占据末席。
该传说还解释生肖为何无猫。其实远古中国无猫，家猫传入中国时生肖早已形成。传说而已，开心就好。！
